My human was going to leave me at home and go biking with Gordo from “The Cake Run” blog (I like him... he smells of cake!). But snow on the fell top roads scuppered that silly idea – wehey! Running in the snow it is then.

Now Pete is quite furry but needs something extra in the cold as he’s only a human, while he gets into his Helly Hansen Pro Wool top (in this seasons new colour of course) I wait impatiently by the door, fully dressed in fur and ready to burn him and every other sucker off on the fell.

It was fell dog heaven this morning, blasting around in the crisp, snowy bracken with and alpenglow lighting up the Langdales ahead. We had awesome views all the way up and came back the long way via Lilly Tarn go get a bit of ice skating in for fun (first dog on the ice too!).

What a morning; the Lakes is one of the best places to run and walk in the winter thanks to it’s accessibility. Make the effort to come and see us soon. It really is worth the effort, and if you are coming by the shop, just remember that my fave biscuits are Bonio’s – Ta very much:)
